CENTRAL’S DIRECTOR OF CHILDREN’S MINISTRY
RESPONSIBILITIES (2022)
(15-25 hours. per week)

CHILDREN’S SUNDAY SCHOOL (All Year) 7 hours per week
• Coordination and implementation of the weekly children’s Sunday school program during the 9am and 10:45am services
• Organize curriculum
• Recruit, equip and coordinate volunteer leaders for the program

AWANA (End of September to Beginning of May) 7 hours per week; Plus, Events
• Create a positive environment for children to learn about Jesus and live their lives for Him
• Coordinate and implement the weekly Awana program
• Make Awana a great place for volunteers to serve by equipping them, coordinating them, empowering them, encouraging them and being a team.
• The coordination and implementation of several Awana events each year

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL (February-June)3 hours per month (June-August) 7+ hours
• Coordinate with the VBS planning group
• Recruit and help coordinate volunteers
• Promote Central’s VBS within the church and community
• Teach where needed during VBS week
