What it's Like to Live in Saint Simon's Island, Georgia:

We are a beautiful small town island, a resort community located on the South Georgia coast. It has stately oak trees that form canopies over the roads and lots of southern charm and southern hospitality!

St. Simons consists of a mixed demographic of young families as well as retirees. It's a great area for boating, fishing, golfing, and relaxing on the beach. Our community is a destination spot for vacationers and people all over the country. We have a 5-star resort, Sea Island,  adjacent to the main island of St. Simons, and the mainland, Brunswick, Georgia is a growing area!

James Oglethorpe and the first English settlers arrived on St. Simons in 1736. It is a very historical island housing Fort Frederica, a historic lighthouse, and the beautiful Christ Church.
