Director of Youth Ministry & Outreach
Snellville United Methodist Church seeks a Full-Time Director of Youth Ministry & Outreach to lead the discipleship opportunities for young persons from 6th-12th grades. The Director of Youth Ministry & Outreach will build a dynamic youth ministry through establishing relationships, supporting growth, and focusing on creativity, service, and enthusiasm with middle and senior high students.
Qualified candidates must have post-high school education and 2-3 years of experience serving youth, young adults, and teams, specifically in ministry or a related field of study.
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Developing positive relationships with youth and their parents
Recruiting, training, and scheduling staff and volunteers effectively
Fostering relationships with partner schools, their staff, and their students, and potential community partners to connect students to the Church
The successful candidate will be a team player, a resourceful self-starter, and possess, above all else, an understanding and grounding in pre-adolescent, adolescent, and early adult life stages (12-18 years of age).
The Church seeks candidates with enthusiasm, energy, creativity who demonstrate expertise in various youth ministry concepts, practices, procedures, and approaches.
